Hand Made Wooden Lockers

Brian built these "locker" for us from a blog called Ana White... We are so lucky to have such a talented woodcrafter living with us!

Having trouble rotating this picture, so please just rotate your head :)!

Mr. Fluffernutter

So this is our cat Mr. Fluffernutter... but we call him Fluff or Mister. We got him in April and he is just the sweetest little guy. Elliette has really loved having the cat, he has a real calming effect on her, because she must sit still in order for the cat to come to her and she has a very hard time sitting still. He seems to love Brian the best which is ironic because Brian is the only one who didn't want to get a cat! However, at four a.m. it's me he looks for to feed him!

Reading is it own reward, but we'll take a prize anyhow!

Elliette is tracking her reading minutes this summer as part of Summer Reading Olympics at her school she must read 1500 minutes to get a gold medal in September. She is also tracking minutes for the KCLS summer reading program. This week she reached 1040 reading minutes. Which means she finished the summer reading program. Her prize was a special cup, bookmark, kaliedascope (sp) and a certificate. Her you see her filling out her reading chart. Favorites books at our house include Rainbow Fairy Series, Shel Silverstein's Poetry, Mother Goose, Skippyjon Jones, Junie B. Jones, anything Barbie, the list goes on! The best part is that Elliette's reading ability has soared this summer. I can't wait to see how well she does in Kindergarten this fall entering school as a reader! Way to go Reader!!!

Ian's birthday morning, getting the train table.

Day Out with Thomas

Instead of a birthday "party" this year. We took the family to the Day Out with Thomas. It was a dream come true for a two year old who is obsessed with all things Thomas. I can't believe my little man is two!
 Sir Topham Hat

There he is... Thomas the Tank Engine

Ian getting inked with a Percy tattoo!

You can't see him, but Dad was there too! Sadly I was so focused on the kiddos that he didn't make it into the photos this year! Sorry Dad :)

Ian's Birthday Brunch July 9th, 2011

Ian's Grandma D and PaPa Milo, Levi and Leonna came over mid-morning to celebrate Ian's special day with a yummy brunch! He loves his new Thomas swim trunks and check out his new outfit in the bicycle picture. Thanks Grandma D and Milo!!!

Ian's Birthday Morning

My friend Kim was selling her son's Thomas the Tank Engine Table and all the parts you see here, this was Ian's birthday present this year. He has not stopped playing with it, except to eat and sleep! I knew this would be a great choice after having to pull him away from similar sets at the bookstore and the toyshop.
